Food Seva

No one should eat with their head lowered.

Food Seva

THE PROBLEM, PLAINLY

194 million

Indians remain undernourished. Most of them do not lack food — they lack the dignity of being served, seated, at a table.

Annadaan done with dignity. We serve hot, fresh, nutritious meals — seated, plated, without queues and without photographs of hungry faces. Our community kitchens run daily near hospitals, schools and pilgrimage routes, and scale into disaster kitchens within hours when a district needs us.

ONE STORY — Kamala-bai

ONE STORY

When you eat on the same floor, hunger stops being someone else’s problem.

Kamala-bai · Kishangarh community kitchen

A widow for seven years. Ate last, ate least, ate sitting on the step. The volunteers plated her third. She said the dal was hot. She said she cried. She came back the next day.
